Tucking in your jersey

I know it's been covered before, but today's stage 5 winner, Mark Cavendish, tucks it in. Makes it hard to wear bibs (favorite of all of my cycling apparel). Perhaps weight weenie? You would think, but not with those Pcad-esque socks. Not as baggy, but certainly as tall as Michael Cooper's socks when he played for the 80's Lakers.

Posted here because, although it is a TDF image, tucking in your jersey has been covered in this forum. Ok for racers, but not for the everyman?

Discuss.

Wait, you come onto this forum, a Bicycling forum, and expect not to know information about a race that was over hours ago? Sorry if I ruined stage 5 for you, but come on.

Gee,

For one some of us have busy schedules and don't get to come straight home and turn on Le Tour. Plus considering your thread title didn't even reference the race.

I am sure some even get a day behind (GASP) due to family work etc.

Cavendish's wearing a full zip. i can see his zipper at the bottom of his jersey. he doesn't tuck. in fact, no one should. your pockets would be limited...

It's like that Seinfeld when Jerry recorded the Mets game he missed, only to have Kramer blow it during the first inning.

My bad, but it still looks tucked with the wrinkles by the waistline. No biggie, but even me, a certified card-carrying Fred would think it weird to tuck in a jersey.

Yeah, tucking would just be silly considering the pocket issue.

That aside, what a killer win today!

Yeah, next time just put TDF spoiler in the thread title. For some reason this year my work schedule allows me to see the VS live, and replay, at least twice a day.

The only time I thought it was a good idea to tuck was when my team only offered as small as an adult S jersey and my brother was 75 lb. Even he knew it looked dorky, but it was better than dragging a parachute behind him.

Gert Boyle threatened to kick his ass if he didn't.

Between the two of them, it's a toss up who has better tickets to the Gun Show.

Some of us here work long hours, spend time with family, then settle down for an hour or so to watch the finish of each day. And in the spirit of Botto, there is this sub forum to discuss the TdF. That's why many of us still pop onto the general forums without worrying about spoilers.

I dont think its a skinsuit, it just looks like his jersey has a black ring on the bottom just like his sleeves do, which makes it look like the jersey and bibs are connected.

I didn't have the luxury of reading your subsequent comments apologizing for your blunder before reading the first sentence of your original post, spoiling the stage results. You could have gone back and edited your post to remove the spoiler. Even after it was pointed out to you, you continued to argue about it. Yes, you are a moron. No, I am not 9 years old.

I'm hurt. I also have noted others in this thread who saw no foul, yet I chose to recant. Who pissed in your Wheaties this morning?

You obviously didn't recant or you would have changed your post.
