I think it is a great looking bike, but I'd never buy one for the same reason I'd never wear a polka dot / yellow / green jerseys.

Agreed. The Caisse d'Epargne Spanish National Champion jersey from last year was awesome too, but I wouldn't feel right wearing it.

And for the record, I have no problems with fans wearing a team jersey, but I would not hassle anyone else for wearing an "award" jersey. There are bigger things in life to worry about. Like Campy vs. Shimano vs. Sram.

From the television coverage yesterday it sounded like he dropped his chain when switching down from the big to the small chain ring. Is that what happened?

He was already dropped from the pack when that happened.

I didnt see the exact reason for the dropped chain.
