Hinault jersey '84?

does anyone has a color picture of the back of the shirt Hinault was wearing during the 1984 TDF?

i'm doing a little painting of his epic l'Alpe Duez battle with Fignon...

i've got some color pics from the front and some b/w from the back,
but i need to know the colors on the back,
it was a sort of Mondrian design, black stripes with some red blue and yellow squares...
thanks in advance!

You probably mean the La Vie Claire jersey - this one even has his sig on it! I don't think Hinault had the "presence" jersey that year but there are a lot of photos of him wearing that one that looks similar.

Wow, you're fast. Interesting shadows... must be late in the day and they're going south.

Fignon had been a rookie team mate of Hinault's in previous years and much was made of the "teacher-student" relationship between them that year (student surpasses teacher...interesting that Fignon's nickname was The Professor but here he was the student)... Fignon had won the 83 Tour but Hinault didn't start that year so this was the first time they'd challenged each other.

Hinault didn't have much luck on the Alpe d'huez in 86 either
another pupil of his took over...Lemond!

If you ever get a chance watch the Dutch/French movie 'The Vanishing' (not the crap seppo remake). Besides the fact that the movie is excellent and will scare the living daylights out of you, there is an extended scene early in the movie where radio commentary from the 1984 Tour stage to Alpe d'Huez is clearly discernible in the background.

thanks classic
i'll keep an eye out for that
my favourite tour film is a cartoon called Randevouz, full of atmoshere,it is brilliant!

Hinault and Lemond crossed the line together, they even hugged on the bike...
Hinault needed to make time on Lemond who was in yellow
but could not shake him off
lots of stuff on you tube...
