Will the Tour be shown in HD?

Every year there is speculation about Versus showing the Tour in HD. Any possibilities for it this year or no?

Aren't the HD cameras rediculously big still? I think that's been the restriction from the past; they were too big to put onto the motorcycle.

nope, hd cam's are small. I think the issue lies in the the live transmission. I have heard it will be in HD in Europe but not in the states
All the more reason to go in person

It has to do with licensing rights rather than technical issues. The show has been capable of HD for years now. Versus just haven't purchased HD rebroadcast rights to the US. Whether that changed for '09 remains up in the air but I'd say much much higher chances for this with LA back in the picture.
