Friday ToC stage, spoiler if you haven't seen it yet

Great time trial today! Dave Zabriskie looked super, in top form. I was sure that he was going to win the stage, but looking at his time split at the top of the climb and then at the end, I think he just tailed off a little bit in the back half. As much as I like Levi, I was yelling at the TV for Dave to beat him, even if only by a second or two! That sure is a tricky course, a good amount of climbing and some fast descending and quick corners thrown in too. It was the first time I'd ever seen it.

It's going to be interesting now, with Dave knocking Rogers out of 2nd spot, the battle between Garmin and High Road should be intense. I do think Levi has the race in the bag, what with his team support. These other guys are in a great fight for 2nd though!

Here's Ballard Canyon climb (note the 2 levels of fans streaming down from the top) - definitely a tough climb in the middle of the Solvang course:
