Bobke was wearing Lance's "LIVESTRONG" wrist band!

Anyone else notice the yellow "LIVESTRONG" wrist band on Bob Rolls wrist during the "Road to the Tour" show? Though it was kind of cool of him showing his support.

Fugazi Dave 05-27-04 09:28 PM

I missed it, but I've got mine on. :)

Devil 05-27-04 10:05 PM

I saw it as well.

By the way, what's with Bob's Giro commercial - saying Binda had 60 Giro stage wins? I thought it was 41.

Beats me, I can barely understand that guy when he's speaking english!!

Its crazy how many people are wearing the yellow bands. I first started seeing them a month ago up at CSE when Bill Stapleton was wearing one. And then i saw Lance wearing one and now BAM! everyone has one!...lol people ask me all the time what it means.

I noticed Bob Roll was wearing one. I think so was Chris Carmichael. I have mine but have yet to see anyone in (at least in New York) wearing one. Of course people ask me what it is for also. Great product and great idea.

jeff

J-McKech 05-28-04 12:17 PM

You can buy them in 10's for 10 bucks! :-D...ill find the link for you

J-McKech 05-28-04 12:19 PM

http://store.laf.org/catalog/product...products_id=43 That should be for the 10 pack

Devil 05-28-04 01:08 PM

What I'm doing is buying $10 worth and then selling each of them to people for a dollar. And then using that money to go back buy 10 more, and then 10 more, etc.. I suggest you guys give it a try. It's an easy way to buy a lot of them if you just don't have the cash to buy 100 (or 1200).

LBS has em, I paid $5 for 2 (I really don't need 10 of em) even tho they are
selling them for $1 a piece.
Other than at LBS I haven't seen anyone wearing em.

Lance Armstrong Foundation said you CANNOT resell them at a higher price.

packfodder 06-10-04 02:12 PM

A couple weeks ago Craig Kilborn was promoting them on his show.

CrimsonCyclist 06-10-04 02:17 PM

I'm buying 10 today. Much of the LAF money goes to research done by my professors, so I'm supporting them too. :)

jonny wong 06-10-04 02:24 PM

any NIKE (outlet) stores, they have them for $1.00 a piece.

Read what I said, The store is selling them for $1. I paid $5 for 2, my choice. Its a donation
they have em displayed and you put your $ in a jar. . .

boyRacer 06-10-04 03:48 PM

iMartin and Helens have them for .92 a piece... i'm gonna go get some more over the weekend to give some out.

SinGate 06-10-04 04:30 PM

I got my 10 and I give them out to friends.
The very first thing I saw when I got to the TREK 100 this past Sat was someone wearing a bracelet in the car next to me as I got out.
Cool!

CrimsonCyclist 06-13-04 01:55 PM

I think Iban Mayo wore the yellow wristband on the last stage of the Dauphine-Libere. So Lance even managed to persuade his rivals to buy them. :)

mjdwyer23 07-08-04 08:40 AM

Any other retail stores that I can find these at? Thanks

Ed Holland 07-08-04 09:03 AM

I was in Portland Or last month and there was a stall at the airport. I decided to splash out and bought a T shirt - I didn't fancy the wristband idea. The fund-raising seemed to be working well though. Good stuff!

Al Troutwig had one on as well.....

djbowen1 07-08-04 10:32 AM

i wear mine in NYC. i bought a 10 pack and have 6 left if anyone in NYC needs one let me know. you can by them at Nike Town on 57th singally.

TXCiclista 07-08-04 10:56 AM

I think they all have one. Bobke actually got his from "The Man" himself. Told a little story about it the other day. Didn't even have to cough up $1 (though he said he was prepared to) :D

Also, when you buy from the LAF, you get little "WearYellow" postcards you can distribute...
