The Winner of the Tour de France Is....

Why wait three weeks to find out who won the 2009 Tour de France? The New York Times has published the name of the winner...and, according to the Times, the winner of the 2009 Tour de France is....Alberto Contador...unless the winner turns out to be Cadel Evans...or Carlos Sastre...or Denis Menchov...or even Lance Armstrong.

And, I agree...the Times has NAILED it....Alberto Contador is a SURE thing...unless the winner turns out to be Evans, Sastre, Menchov, Armstrong...or some other guy...but it will NOT be some other FRENCH guy...

Contador wont win this year. HE doesnt look like years before, sastre looked pretty good at the giro, he might be 100% for the tour. Menchov is doing ok also. But contador (means accountant in English) wont win this year.

Levi is too weak for the tour this year in my opinion. Sadly the other ones that might do this tour awesomely funny arent racing, vino and chicken rasmussen.

I dont like LA as a person but if he is at his top for the tour he might be giving some surprises.

    Lance wont win. Too old.

Evans wont win. Has still yet to show the grit after years of hype.

I have no clue who will win though. I just want to see a good scrap.

Contador won't win as CSC Team Saxo Bank wants one of the Schleck brothers up there in GC contention. They will ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK! on the climbs leaving others begging for mercy. Even Cadel without support was attacking in several stages of the Dauphine Libere leaving Contador to play catch-up. With that being said, I wouldn't count Lance out as age means nothing.

I really like Carlos Sastre, I hope he wins, but its a tough call.

Cadel Evans, I dont like him at all, hope he doesnt win. The way he treated the press last year was appalling. Part of his job is to be nice to the press, the glamor of any star is created by the press. They need the stars, and the stars need them.

Denis Menchov, I count him out because he used his token for the Giro.

Armstrong, I hope he gets busted in a raid with a needle in his arm finally.

I hope the Schleck Bros place really high, podium for sure. I wouldent be surprised if one of them took the yellow again and maybe lost it on the final time trial.
