Alejandro Valverde - Where is he this year?
I noticed he isnt in le Tour this year. I remember last year he was considered a contender for the GC early on and had that special "Prince of Spain" painted Pinarello. So, what happened to him / where is he? an injury? Doping scandal? Thanks

Banned from racing in Italy, due to suspected drug infractions in Italy, and since part of the tour is in Italy this year, he couldn't compete.
