Green/White/Polka Dot thread
So I'm pretty damned tired of the GC, fanboy v. hater, disfunctional Kazakhstan team discussion. Anybody wanna talk about the other jersey races?
I'm really glad to see Thor wearing the green. That's going to make for some pretty exciting sprint finishes on the flat stages. Columbia called out the other sprint teams and Thor answered the call. So now its on Cavendish and the boys to take the sprint back to them. I think Cav has the advantage on the finishes because of his team. Columbia has done a great job on the leadouts for Cav. But I think Thor will keep sniping points out on the road. My money is on Cav, but I wouldn't have a problem with Thor winning in the end. I like both of them.
I think Columbia is gonna be hard pressed to keep Martin in the white. Andy Schleck is going to throw some serious attacks in the Alps. Nibali might make a move on a break away. Mainly because Liquigas has been pretty quiet. I could see him trying to get out on an early break. His problem will be Columbia not want any breaks to with because of both Cav and Martin. My money is on Schleck.
KOM. Up for grabs. Seems like whoever gets out on the break get the jersey. Don't have any idea who will be wearing the polka dots in Paris.

I am absolutely loving the polka dot jersey competition! Double points at the top of the final climb...these guys have been really throwing this jersey around over the past few days! Lots better than when Richard Virenque used to have the climber's jersey wrapped up before the Tour was half over.
And Kreuziger for the white jersey? I wouldn't count him out here either!

You're right about the KOM. There's going to be a lot of attacks and breakaway attempts. It will probably come down to stage 20 and Mt. Ventoux. Although stage 17 has three cat 1 climbs. Lots of points that day.
