He is finding his legs, and he is starting to have that acceleration - did you see him bridge that gap. You could see he wanted to attack...too bad Bruyneel caged the animal once again

This thread is almost as ridiculous as the threads calling Lance a has been for getting dropped in Stage 15. Dropped one stage, dropped but caught up the next. By the end of tomorrow we will probably know better, but its too early to tell just yet.

Lance is a support rider for Contador. Bruyneel "caged" a lot of good riders to supply support for Lance over the years, now its his turn.

I would agree. Lance made a great acceleration to catch up. But that's what he was doing, catching up after being dropped. Tomorrow will tell how his legs respond to a brutal day like today. Lance did finally show a glimpse of the old Lance today. It was nice to see.

One for the fanboys. No I don't think this will happen, but there is always a chance.
Lance gains 20 seconds on AC in the ITT, and survives tomorrow. Stage 20 Saxo attacks Lance can't match acceleration. Alberto fends off attacks from Andy. Lance gets it going and has JB to tell AC not to worry he is on the way. Andy and Alberto on on the edge. Lance catches up sits on for a second, then launches an attack. AC & AS are gassed and can't follow.

He was not dropped in my opinion. If he had it in his legs to make up 35 seconds over 2K's and drop other riders at the same time, then he was just playing the team game. Did you see Contador start looking around when JB announced that Armstrong was bridging?
If you are cooked and can't respond to an acceleration, yet you can shortly thereafter chase them down, then I don't buy the argument that he was dropped.

Julian Julian Lance is strong, but he cannot match the pace. That's what got him Sunday. If he pulls the sitting in team tactic tomorrow say bye bye podium. Contador is itching, and if Saxo attacks, and can't put AC on the edge I am willing to bet he will counter. The pace will be insane, and no hope of bridging the gap.

Didn't you pour over my grassy knoll theory with a fine tooth comb?
He not only bridged the gap with an amazing effort, but he dropped some pretty good climbers doing so. I am sure Contador was shocked when the old man pulled up next to him.
He was playing possum on Stage 15, to take any pressure off himself and to give Contador a false sense of security.

I was impressed today. Maybe the AC group had slowed, but Lance looked great.

It will be interesting to see how Lance's legs are tomorrow. Its looking like Saxo Bank and the Schleck boys are determined to make everyone experience some time in the hurt locker before this one is over. They're not showing any signs of giving up the attacks.
