All i can say is that I jumped for joy when the Cutters' RV got hit! You disrespect the Tour, the Tour disrespects you. Karma in action!

Sure... I will if THEY will. But in the meantime, there are plenty of places to go where there there is much love for the American. I admit it, I'm not going to be open minded towards them. Never have, never will, haven't had a reason. And I've felt this way for years, since I first encountered some of them when I was in college. I just haven't heard anything positive from people I've talked to about that place, so best to avoid it. I like to enjoy myself when I take a vacation and spend money in a country, not spend all my time fending off hostilities because I don't speak a language fluent enough to suit them.

16:15 CEST 191km/14.5km to go
Both Rasmussen and Voigt ditch their helmets into the team car at the foot of the climb. A male fan chases them, dressed in a thong.
One of the cutters or just another crazy cycling fan ?

Basso takes over, looking fresh and hungry. Armstrong gets a push from a fan, who runs for about 300 metres beside the lead duo. There's another nude runner too.
Must be a retro 70s thing. Oh yes they call him the streak...... boogadab boogadab.

I did like the Cutters guy in the Armstrong football jersey, with the Longhorn Helmet and the Huge Flag, that was cool. Becuase he stayed out of the way, and he didnt't touch anyone.

I was going to ask if that bozo was a cutter. How safe is that? Running with riders and past fans while carrying a giant flag and wearing a helmet with pointy horns.

Even Phil was annoyed.

I should have known that IDIOT was a "cutter". I'm guessing those losers will not be back next year.

God I hope not. That was just a bad idea all around, and I'm sure the exec idiot at OLN that thought of this one is slapping himself silly in the head.

I didn't get the sense that Phil was annoyed. More like he was amused. I have to confess, being from Texas, I thought it was amusing. Not terribly safe, but amusing I really don't care what they do on the course (as long as it's legal). If French TV wants to show it, fine w/ me. We all know Basque fans can be worse It's when OLN actually blocks time apartfor that type of stuff *off the course* that I get annoyed. Anyway, the "hit and run" accident (more like "here's $50 to run into the motor home over there") has taken care of things...?

They may not be on OLN, but they will be at the Tour, I have photos of them running along side the racers in the 2003 Tour.

Not the Cutters, but some nutters.......

and this one was in the same folder so i posted it too, I like this one.

In the video for the 2001 Tour, during one of the Mountain Stages the Cutters are wearing football helmets and Dallas Cowboy Jerseys, One guy is carrying a football and running in front of the peleton, the other guy was in front of him, acting as the fullback and blocking, It was pretty damn funny. I know they sit around at night, and try to think up sillier and sillier scenarios and for that, I love em. Maybe they shouldn't be broadcast into everyones living room, but their enthusiasm is genuine, and they make me laugh.
