Garmin Pearl Izumi Jerseys

I have a jersey sizing question, but I think it fis better here than in the road forum. I was looking at some PI Garmin themed jerseys, because I want to be that guy. The problem is that when I tried on some other PI jerseys today at REI, they all fit me like a hooded sweatshirt. The mediums were perfect except that they only went down to my belly button. Granted, I am 6'5" and 175 lbs, and I understand that PI markets to the average American (yes, you know what I mean ). all the websites I have list one size chart for all PI products, so I have to assume that the P.R.O. jerseys I was looking at are going to fit the same as the "Select" jerseys REI I had on the rack do.

My question is this: How do the guys in the tour wear PI jerseys that actually fit? Most of them are even skinnier than me. Do the higher end PI jerseys fit better?

Pearl Izumi makes jerseys in a number of cuts...some are loose and some are tight. I believe the P.R.O stuff is made to be form fitting. Assuming it's long enough it probably would be the best cut that PI offers for your thinness..

I read somewhere the PI customized team kits for Garmin to fit every rider...

OK, I see what you're talking about. The websit ementions loose, semi form fitting, and form fitting. The one I'm looking at is only semi form fitting, not going to cut it for me. Oh well. Thanks guys.

Maybe if I can get Garmin to sign me I'll get a jersey that fits!

I remember reading on the Pearl Izumi site that the Irish National Champion replica jersey that they made was an even more form fitted version than the standard team jersey. If you like the colors, and don't have any reservations about wearing an "award" jersey, you might want to check that out.

TommyL,
Please rethink the Garmin jersey choice. Its really ugly. Wait till next years' version comes out.:thumb:

This is the jersey I was looking at it. I love it:

It also goes great with my bike:

Alas, I will have to wait and see what comes out in the future. Maybe I will find one I like in my European travels next year, though it will probably end up costing an arm and a leg.
