Today's news headlines (SPOILER)
Just about every news web site has the lead story titled "Lance Armstrong Loses Yellow Jersey" in a large font link, as if to imply that the Tour has been lost and it's all over. Then the first or second paragraph of the story mentions that he was willing to give it up this early in the Tour and that everything is still going according to plan.
I suppose I should have expected it. I just found it laughable how news agencies either don't understand the sport or prey on people's lack of understanding to sell a few newspapers/sell banner ads/increase ratings.

G'day,
Yeah...you should have expected it!...half the people in this forum don't understand the tour either!....have a look at some of the uneducated opinions passing themselves off as reality, (yes I know they are entitled to them!) in some of the tour threads. I s'pose I shouldn't pick on them, the states was largely unexposed to this type of racing pre lemond. I just wish some of them would take the opportunity to learn something about this '3 week mobile chess game', before making ludicrous statements,
cheers,
Hitchy
