I had the same issue during the Giro. Would probably have better success venting to them.

At least you can see it on tv now. Out here in SoCal on Charter cable my normal Universal channel was temporarily changed to a spanish channel by NBC until the brush fires are contained up by Mt Wilson.

Was it because of the fires? Both US and NBC Weather channel went Hispanic this past Sat/Sun. Seems a bit odd. Sent them an e-mail anyways through the NBC website. US and NBC Weather online sites won't accept any comments/questions. Have to watch the Vuelta online at the US website.

My understanding was that it would be like this until the threat to Mt. Wilson was over. So it will probably be at least days like this.

Anyone know if Universal Sports will be broadcasting the Tour of Missouri on TV? I do not see it on the schedule on their web site.

Good news here in SoCal. Universal back on the regular channel. Showing the rest day recap. Pretty brutal crash inside of 3k yesterday. The whole field is probably glad for the early rest day after that one.

From Podium Insight:
So it looks like US is doing web coverage and VS has the broadcast rights.
28 hours will be televised during the race held 7-13 September, a record number for this event, live on the web and UniversalSports, or delayed on Versus and For Sports Midwest.

Dunno. Doubt they will do start-to-finish web broadcasts for each stage of the Tour of Missouri. More likely highlights of the first part of the race and go live for the finish. Should be ok, VS has been doing it that way for years.
Each Vuelta stage runs anywhere from 5-6 hours S2F and 'so far', US has been airing complete live web coverage of each stage, which has been great for cycling fans. But it's one of the big 3 Grand Tour events and doubt US will offer that kind of coverage for other cycling events.

US has been televising 2 hours of the Vuelta every day (the last 2 hours of each stage). I'm hoping they do the same for the Tour of Missouri.

I e-mailed Universal Sports and they said they would broadcast the Tour of Missouri on TV after the Vuelta ends (as in 3 weeks from now). All I can say is WTF?? Who wants to watch a sporting event 3 weeks after it happened????

TV rights have that kind of effect. If Versus paid for same day coverage or for specific stages, then it's conversation over. If you like US coverage/announcers, just watch it online or wait until it's broadcast on US if you enjoy or rather watch it on your TV. Very rare to have 2 or more TV broadcasts going at the same time for the same event. Switching is common IF the companies are related or shared the cost (ABC/ESPN for example does it a lot, forcing viewers to change channels if they want to continue to watch an event) or it's on completely different mediums (say webcast/radio and TV).
Delayed broadcasts is also common and lowers the cost of adding programming for a network. It's all about money and ratings.

I thought I heard during the coverage today that they said they would be airing the World Championships. Anybody anything else to confirm that?

Has anyone found any video of the finish of Stage 1 of the Tour of Missouri? The Universal Sports on-line stream crappped out and doesn't show the last 5 seconds of the race!!!
