Too bad about Swen Montgomery

I know his Dad is active on this forum. I saw Swen's crash this morning and his subsequent dropping out. I really feel sorry for all these unlucky riders.

Yeah, I heard from his father already. Sven is doing fine in hospital, but their spirits are really down over there. I felt sick myself when I saw the rider going down from Gerosteiner, and even worse when the announcer confirmed that it was Sven. It is really bad about him. He really believed he was going to make it to Paris.

For anyone interested, there's an article the New York Times wrote about him that his father sent me. You have to register to read it, but it's here: It's a good read.

All the best, Sven.
