Odd Drawings on stage 10 road

Did anyone else catch the male private organs drawn on the last 10 kilometers of stage 10 by the natives

If you watch for it, you will see that fairly often on the roads of Le Tour.

Pretty juvenile all-in-all.

Yeah, I have videos of the 89 Tour, and there all sorts of cock-n-ball paintings on the road, at least they are pointing the right direction, towards the finish.

You can also see some big syringes painted on the roads too.

could you imagine if the tour was broadcast on network TV in states? it would be an outrage. i can picture thousands of frumpy old bags writing and calling in about it. that is if they would ever watch cycling to begin with

Actually, I noticed the camera zoom in on the back of Virenque's jersey after first couple went by, OLN doesn't have their own camera crew so even the local media became a bit conscious.

Thats what makes our country suck, we can watch people eat bull testicles on tv but if the tour has a 20 foot cock stretched across the road people are up in arms.

I remember "Epontani" painted on Col d'Izoard when I climbed it three years ago, a few syringes as well.

Our country sucks because we won't show giant penises on television? That's certainly different criteria for a country sucking than I would use.

I seem to recall reading somewhere (and of course I can't find it) that
its to signify "strenght" to be strong in the race. . . not a prank at all.

Either that or its an advert for Cialis or Viagra

More or our (US) lack of knowledge and prudishness showing.
I'll see if I can find the reference.

Yeah, America's problem is that we're actually sensitive enough to some people to think that showing a penis painted on the road would be going too far. Geez. What a completely "It's all about me" view...

It goes along with the Police State we are becoming, The Patriot Act, talk of delaying national elections for the first time in the Countrys history, packaging army men and military toys with easter baskets at Wal Mart, Mass Media where killing is OK, but nudity is not. You can watch 100 people being blown up and killed in a movie, but full frontal nudity is just too much.

They would have to go with a tape delay, and blur out the painted penis drawings! God bless America.

ah, yes, the wonderful tape delay technique. the easiest way to control and censor reality.

Well, I'm almost *sure* I say a hairy vagina on one of last year's climbs. Seriously. I was too stunned to say anything tho. I dunno, maybe I saw it drawn on a bathroom stall around here, but I'm pretty sure it was the TdF. Helicopter feed was cut to a motorcycle shot w/in a second

Is that why I see drawings of breasts and vagina on the roads too?

I've seen those ejaculating penises painted on the road in the Giro too. LOL. Really, the stuff painted on the road is part of the fun. "Leblanc you're an idiot! Pantani should be in the tour!" "Bush: Assassin" and of course the names of riders who are not even racing anymore!

Giant breasts? Hmmm--not fertility because that would be another part of the female form. Maybe a subliminal reminder to take a drink?

Okay, before anyone goes off, I am a female with a good sense of humour.
