Yellow=Completed the TdF, to date, in the least amount of time.

White=Completed the TdF, to date, in the least amount of time of all contenders under the age of 25.

Green=Collected the most points by passing designated sprint lines ahead of other riders. The first rider across the sprint line gets a certain number of points. The second rider gets less, etc. The daily stage finish is also a sprint line.

Polka Dot=Collected the most points by reaching the summit of categorized climbs ahead of other riders. Points are awarded on a sliding scale, like the green jersey competition.

Most Aggresive Rider has a red number, not a different jersey.
    Bikes use brakes to stop.

If your bike has breaks, don't ride it.

I think the rules this year are that in the KOTM the last 'official' climb of the stage counts double the points scored.

A few that have not been mentioned:

    - Riders who won this years national championships are wearing "national themed" jersey. Ex: Klöeden
    - The reigning world champion would be wearing a white jersey with rainbow stripes across. But last years champion, Igor Astarloa, is not in the tour. I cant remember if the Time Trial World Champion (the suspended David Millar) also gets a jersey. I think he only gets to put the rainbow rings on his sleeves.
    - Past world champions get to put rainbow rings on their sleeves. Michael Rasmussen has these as former mountainbike world champion.

The Time Trail champ can wear a World Champion jersey during a TT.

Lance Armstrong can wear World Champion stirpes on his jersey, but has elected not to this year.

Any rider with any recognized world championship, including track racers, can wear those stripes on his jersey. Sturat O'Grady wears them from a track championship.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering why I saw Kloeden in German colors instead of the pink of T-Mobile.

Would Astarloa have had to give up a World Champion jersey on TT days?
