Favorite "Road Painting"

I was a little upset to see the "EPO Lance" and "Lance Sucks" paintings on the Alpe d'Huez TT. Then, about 2 km from the finish, I saw one that made it all OK. I'll use caps as they did. This just rocks:

RIP THEIR BALLS OFF LANCE!

Yup, I chuckled over that one.

It made up for the "EPO Lance" a few meters down the road.

I seemed to hear a lot of booing today.

So, can anybody make out the squiggly thing that was painted on the road just at the curve before the second time check? I couldn't figure it out at all.

Today was the first time I actually paid attention to the road writing. That was a funny one!

I saw the EPO Lance and a few meters later there was FUC Lance. They cut away quickly before the K.

He said post race that the crowd was "animated" (very diplomatic way of putting it). I noticed a lot of boos coming from the crowd for Lance, but I guess that's no suprise. A lot more cheers from the 900,000 plus.

I guess that the ones that boo, in their own lives where they are probably unhappy and thinking "woulda, coulda, shoulda", cannot believe that a guy who once had a 40% chance to live, went through multiple bouts of the brutality of chemotherapy, can be beating the daylights out of these guys.

Reminds me of a guy I once "met" at a NASCAR race who was booing Jeff Gordon. I asked him why. He said, "Cuz he's rich, he's a winner, he's a champion...and I hate him for that."
Nuf said.

RegularGuy,

Did it look something like an A with two dots on it?
(see below).
If so its for Andrea Peron of CSC and was put there by the
guys who run PEZcycling.com. I believe that it is the logo
for his clothing line A-Style.

I can't imagine booing any of them after they've been racing for 15 days and are doing this monster of a TT. I would cheer for every one of them. I don't understand how some people can be so negative. They're probably people I wouldn't want to be around in everyday life.

When I go to a triathlon that I'm not participating in, I stand on the bike course and cheer for everyone, not just the people I know.

Is it just me, or is that "A style" logo a bit suggestive...? Krusty is obviously uncomfortable...

Interesting to see some of the bad reactions here. I read the "EPO" "Lance" as two separate ads. Obviously EPO endorses the race and had someone paint it on the road, and later some Lance groupie found a clean patch of asphalt near it.

No, though I saw those, too.

The one I can't quite figure is in the attached picture. Is it a maple leaf? A bikini girl? A map?

I'm sorry about the quality of the picture, but I took a photo of the TV screen showing a videotape at SLP and then reduced the picture quality further to get a file under 100K in size.

OH...and did anyone else see the marriage proposal on the road today?

Yeah, I saw the marriage proposal. Was it legitimate or was it to one of the riders?

it seems a bit ironic to ask a man with one "ball" to rip of those of another.

I like that fans will paint the names of riders who have long ago retired. I'm sure many of them are watching on television, and they must feel proud that they are still remembered. Like Robert Millar

"Rip their balls off Lance"
Think that's what Lance had in mind! Inspired by "animated fans" and road paintings.
