With BBox and Cofidis out ...

Does that open the door for Radioshack and Sky right away?

As far as I can tell, there were two open spots before BBox & Cofidis got kicked to the curb anyway.

It's rediculous that the one of the longest single-sponsored teams in the sport has been kicked out of the ProTour. Sure, they had a tough streak, but at least they won at the Vuelta.
I was also looking forward to see Bouygues' Japanese sprinter's progression in the ProTour ranks.

There might be another spot open if Astana gets kicked out, which appears to be a definite possibility right now.

Both teams were ranked low in the standings...I think the idea of the ProTour was always to be based on results - i.e. - top level of sport.

    here's a story on it:

Sky was already announced as getting one.

Sad about those two getting booted - I think of them both as teams that are just always there - never really doing much, but always being a presence. Like Lampre and Milram (now why did Lampre get a three-year extension, but Milram only a one-year?)

it is highly unlikely that this will impact a start for either of the two French teams in the Tour de France. The presence of French stars Thomas Voeckler and David Moncoutiť all but guarantee a place in the world's biggest bike race.
