Lance's clip-on bars for L'Alpe de Huez??
While watching the Lance Chronicles, I became very interested in the clip-on bars installed on Lance's road bike for the uphill TT by Steve Hed. Does anyone know a similar brand I could get for my bike? I like the short extension bars. Maybe Profile Jammer? I am not looking for a full blown aero position, just something to achieve greater comfort during long rides. Thanks!

I thought only Ullrich used TT bars for the Alpe this year? Am I mistaken?

I think Jan was the only one to use the aero bars, and I also don't think Lance had them on his for the uphill TT because people were making such a noise about how he did have aero bars but they weren't on that bike as originally planned.

Basso had them as well;
I imagine a couple of others did as well.
Lance didn't ride them up the hill because he was afraid of them snagging something with them (or say says one of the commentary pages on the net somewhere, I'll try and find it).
I'm not aware of any company selling bars like that.

I'm pretty sure they're just bars that have been cut. I know Chris Horner cut down his HED bars for the Tour of Georgia and they ended up looking pretty stubby like those.

I am pretty sure that Lance's were a cut down on the Lance Chronicles as well. If I remember correctly that they were looking all over for a saw blade in the shed and could not find one except a worn out hack saw blade.

Correct. I saw that one show twice. Steve Hed said "Lance amy cool this a tool shed, but there is just junk in here". They cut and fit 2 different type bars for Lance to try.

Thanks all. I have done some looking at the jammer by profile, and it seems to offer many adjustments. I think I'll go with that one.
