With all those affidavits, who will play Lance on the big screen?

Lance should play himself. At least he wouldn't have to fake the doping scenes.

The Portland Oregonian reported yesterday that Nike is standing by Mr. Armstrong no matter the recent revelations. Of course they also endorse Mr. Tiger Woods.

The truth is,if you investigated everybody's life on this forum with the intensity, time and money that they used against Lance Armstrong,he would look like a saint compared to most of us,myself included

Please stop embarrassing yourself. Speak for youself.

I have never doped or cheated anybody in my life. And I have certainly never tried to destroy people who saw me do anything illegal or unethical.

Nobody is casting any stones, okay.

The issue is whether it serves the sport of cycling or even humanity to let "cheats" reap all the glory we should shower on true champions/heros.

Just step back a bit, think about the "larger" issue(s) involved, then determine what best serves humanity in the whole Lance Armstrong saga.

just based on the way you construct scenarios it's fairly safe to say you have a habit of projecting.

What do you expect? We live in a country where we decide who to vote for based on 30 second sound bites.

It's not quite so simple.

Well, I can't speak for gsteinb, but I suppose in my case you would find a couple of grouchy exes and a little bit of illegal recreational drug use or something. And there was that big fight I had with my brother pretty much from 2007-2009 or so that had at least something to do with me being an insensitive ass. So I guess I wouldn't come out looking great. I don't particularly recall doping to win the Tour de France 7 times, trafficking drugs, harassing and intimidating witnesses by threatening their wives and children, destroying the careers of multiple people for speaking out or even just pissing me off, perpetrating massive fraud of U.S. taxpayers and millions of fans or organizing a systematic doping ring within my team, while reserving the most effective drugs and techniques for myself.

But you raise a good point. I do think I would probably look about as bad as Lance Armstrong does if USADA were to investigate me.

Are there any doubters? Apparently not at WADA anymore.

This, in my mind, is pretty huge:

That could get ugly if there are any allegations that those officials were paid to look the other way.

Well, you can count me as one who'll never purchase another Nike product. They did not even say let us study this, but outright we support the doper.

But should I still be seen on the course using my Nike 3-hybrid? I mean, I've only now started hitting the darned thing with confidence ....

Yea, probably a few. You certainly wouldn't find 1,000 pages of evidence proving a vast array of criminal wrongdoing.

Also, you're a complete nutter.
