Will Hincapie or BMC have success in the classics or Tour this year?

Hincapie, Ballan etc. for the classics and Evans for the Tour. I don't really see much going well for this team in 2010. As much as I want Hincapie to win Roubaix and for BMC to do well, I think they are up against very stiff competition in the classics and Evans really doesn't stand a chance in the TDF.

Thoughts?

With that team and at his age Hincapie will never win a monument. I suspect this is his last year.

Lotto wasn't exactly the pinnacle of team support for Evans, so I think it would be a bit harsh to say that he doesn't have a chance at the Tour.

As far as Hincapie's age is concerned, at least Gilbert Duclos-Lasalle's end-of-career victories at Paris-Roubaix offer some encouragement to keep hope alive for George's chances. Sure, BMC isn't Quick-Step or Lotto, but I think they'll surprise a few people this season with some good performances. After all, Ochowicz seems to have a way with underdogs!

How do you define success? Evans has a chance to podium at the TDF and maybe the Giro. Nobody can beat Contador but Contador himself.

As for Hincapie, he seems like a great guy and I wish him well, but I doubt he'll be winning a classic. I do wonder about Ballan. Was 2009 just a bad year? We'll see.

Ballan at least finished the year strongly. And Hincapie is NOT Duclos-Lasalle.

if hincapie could win roubaix just once id be happy for him , he seems like a really nice guy and always works hard for the team that he is on
not only that they have cadel evans on the team

when i read the roster in last months velonews i immediately put all bets on them , should at least make for an interesting season

If it was going to happen for Hincapie, it would have happened some time ago. Ballan, however, is another story. Remember, he's only one star-crossed season removed from a superb two season run in which he won Flanders, the Worlds and got a podium spot at Roubaix.
