Doping in pro cycling
What are your thoughts on this?
I am doing a paper for school on the topic, and found a lot of interesting views for both sides.
What do you think about it.
Should it be criminalized or how should it be treated, in your opinion?

drugs should be legal. well, "medical" marijuana anyways. recreational crack and meth, I don't know. Still on the fence about those.
I'm serious. Am I? I am! Am I? Hmmmm.

Doping is cheating. Send the cheaters to jail. They're still getting off easy. Seems that the pro teams are loosing sponsors when they get caught.
No more drugs = more sponsors = more money in the sport = better for everyone.

doping is cheating where someone gains an advantage artificially that others don't have.
Easy solution. Prescribe drugs to everyone. level the playing field. what are the chances of this being implemented?

The playing field is level, every single sport is loaded with dopers, it's part of the game.

If you are writing a paper, have you been to www.bikepure.org?

I'm happy to ignore the topic as long as a rider isn't stupid enough to get caught. But I don't have any illusions that the control system works even marginally well.

Doping doesn't work for everyone, ask David Millar & look at his Tour results honking EPO. "This beats training all winter" he was thinking, No!... you $hit ****, it doesn't.
We have seen in the past clean riders beat the dopers.
Extremely good source for you too look at;

Many cases.
And don't forget, EPO is also proven to reduce athletic performance via dehydration, loss of electrolytes, death etc. What a load of $hit. Maybe you can ask David Millar.

There has been many cases of clean riders beating the dopers. Armstrong has been been beating them from pillar to post for years & I don't believe his '99 EPO case. A clean Jan Ullrich at 42% hematocrit in the '97 Tour beating a honking Riis by almost 30 minutes.
Many cases.

Just stating, Lets not put too much emphasis on EPO or performance enhancing drugs, there not all that. Past results/performances under the influence of honking, prove me correct. I am a troll but more of a realist. I've done EPO, its crap & can't make you a contender or Tour winner.
