last three days of this year's giro ain't be no picnic! most consistent of the remaining
gt contenders will likely take the final pink jersey. could be much shuffling of the standings
the last 3 days because the contenders will likely all be within 2-3 minutes of each other
with some within seconds. final day tt will be huge!

i like either evgeni petrov (katusha) or garzelli for stages 19 & 20. neither rider
has any team politics to deal with or is high up in any classification. garzelli still
has an outside shot at the mountains classification but both riders-legs willing-
should be free to fly.

i'm thinking Sastre needs to do something to salvage his Giro, today or tomorrow would be a perfect
venue for that. I'm not sure what's going on with him, he seems like he is struggling a bit on the climbs.

Look for Vino to stir things up but not really keep up with Basso, Evans et al.

The problem with sastre is that he never been that good, and right now "sastre is a disaster," everybody wants the pink jersey so sastre in my opinion will be won in his own element, the mountains.

ps: darn feeds sucks big time today, more than yesterday. Come on guys get off the computer and let me see the race!!!

Yeah, Saestre really needs to, but beyond getting in that ridiculous "breakaway" that one day, he's been really meh. I wonder if & who Cervelo wants to be "their guy" come next year?

I'm pissed off that Eurosport is constantly showing French Open tennis, which I'm not interested in one bit, the last couple days. Now I have to watch the gazzetta stream although I hardly understand any Italian.

Looks like ooga-booga's guess in regards to Garzelli could be spot-on if he can get over the Mortirolo ahead of the peloton too.

Damn, Garzelli is riding like he's 29 again, not 36!
btw watching here:
https://sportzkrieg.com/Match/sportsl...0000700&link=1
except for the annoying ads on the site its good, original Italian feed, complete with commercials.
and it gets past Aus Bluecoat which blocks all Streaming video at work.

I would but as I said work has a streaming video blocker, frustrating.
And I have to admit there's something right about listening to the audio in Italian even
if I can't understand 1/4th of it.

Tricky descent. The Mortirolo is a tricky one, too, isn't it? Nibali should try the old attack on the descent trick again.

It's a gorgeous descent imo, I would love to do that, especially with no cars on the road.

eta: excellent riding by Garzelli btw, if he continues like that he could really win this stage.

That descent is both breathtaking and heart stopping, Hell I'd have no brakes left trying that one, even with
no cars. Garzelli in the mountains jersey at the end of the day? Watching him and Failli is pure poetry.
God I love the Giro

Garzelli is unreal, put 2:39 into the Maglia Rosa group into Arpica, and is now riding away from everyone.

Thanks, looks like the English feed is back. But the chatters are saying there have been server problems. I'll switch the italian if necessary.
