Bahati team photoshoot - Landis, Bahati, O'Neill, Clarke +++

I had the privilege of being the team photographer for the Bahati Foundation during their debut week. The team is really nice, lots of jokes during the shoot, despite the serious faces in the photos. A total of 9 group shots were taken, but I'll display these 2 for bikeforums to peek at

A lot more info about the shoot on my blog https://clintdavis.net/blog
Getting my feet wet with bikeforums, first of many posts!

Its great to see African-Americans riding. Be awesome to see more in the pro peletons someday.

I wish Rahsaan Bahati & his foundation all the luck in the world.

Clint, your work is excellent. I checked out your blog and took notice of the beautiful shots along Tuna Canyon, which is a stones throw from me. I used that climb to pound myself into shape a few years ago. Treacherous and beautiful.

Thank you. He was an amazing rider, and as a person there is no words to describe him that will make him justice. He will be missed.

wow cool video about the Bahati foundation, thanks for posting that... would be great to see more diversity in the peloton, wondering how old I will be when we start seeing black riders in the big Euro races.. wish I could just "show up to the velodrome and be naturally good at it" like him, lol.

Very nice lighting work.

Do you have any shots of how the shots were made? I would love to see a behind the scenes photos and how you set up your flashes/etc.

Again, great photos!

Why has Bahati never tried to make it in Europe anyway? Because of his community commitments, or is he just not quite good enough and he'd rather be a star in the US than risk being an also-ran in Europe?

Bahati is a crit racer not a road racer, the races over there would not be well suited to him.

Is that so different from what a Cavendish or Farrar does?

from his mouf'

1. What are your plans for next year and what is the deal with you team? Honestly I think next year will become a defining moment in my life and my career. Deep down inside, I feel the fire and desire to try racing in Europe one more time before I transition into another chapter of my life.
With concerning the state of my current team, I really can't say what the status is. Rumor on the street is that he will drop all the US guys and just focus on the European guys who have race all year over in Spain, Belgium etc. Do I believe that? Well giving the history of the rumors that has hit the street regarding my team, most if not all has been true facts.

2. Can you beat Mark Cav? Now this question always makes me laugh because of course I'm going to say yes. "I can kick his A*$". But seriously, I truly do think I can be one of the top sprinters in the world only if I had the support group behind me. It’s not as easy as popping up in Europe and racing. I know for sure that I need at least 15 months of building. I look at Tyler Farrar. He has busted his butt for almost 3 years and boom, one day he wins a race in Europe and now he is knocking on the door of being a great sprinter. So to go back to the question. Yes I feel I have more to offer and I could beat him with the proper preparation and team. Plus I won’t be all extra cocky.
