funky stage profile. perfect breakaway stage for an all-rounder. woulda picked chavanel but he's already done a lot this tour.

pray it isn't in the mid to upper 90's. They mentioned yesterday that the tar was starting to melt

the french riders will try and kill themselves to win, but I think it could be menchov or maybe Basso...who is probably too far back to win and just won the giro, but I am sure he'd love to get a mountain stage.

Maybe the french will be gifted a stage win, and GC remains idle.

Maybe a french break is allowed to get 15 minutes up the road while the GC fights it out in no mans land.
