What's the purpose of having a Versus Ride of the day if you're just going to give it to the stage winner?

Of course, today he said they were in the Alps three times. I am going to start the Phil Liggett Drinking Game. Every time he messes up you drink a shot.

You come back with your shield or get carried home on it. You never surrender.
I thank Lance for fighting today to the end. It was as a bike race should be.
I appreciate that Lance asked for no gifts.

Yeah, it's bogus... and does the "ride of the day" winner actually win anything or are they just using him to sell crap?

Also, what's the use of that RadioShack pointer thingie if it shows one name but points at somebody else? Who controls that thing anyway?

I tuned into Versus this morning, but there was no race today. They could have tried to race, even just a little

I havent watched the stage today yet, but I saw highlights here and there of Lance on a MASSIVE attack. I wouldnt be surprised if he got into yellow, what a brilliant tactic he has played all this time, pretending he is a washed up old man. Losing time only to clobber them over the head with a dramatic come back! Cant wait to watch the stage!!!

lol, i remember someone posting the TDF drinking game...
when they say "crossed swords"
'rip the legs off the peloton'
when you see the devil...Only seen him once!

A friend of mine picked Horner as a possibility...the guy is as strong as an ox! he doesn't seem to get any older and he only did his first tour like what, 2 years ago?

Good for Fedrigo. The guy sure does have a shnozz on him. I think he goes into the "Great Shnozzes of Cycling".

Yo,

Drinking Game - I drink a Great Lakes Brewing Co. - Commodore Perrry whenever Phil L. says "Gecko" instead of "Geico"! Yea, I 'm enjoying this years TdF. And yes, I understand why Phil (Brit)always says "Gecko"!

Paul got a good one in when Gesink flatted saying... "I'm guessing that it is Gesink, Robert Gesink"

I'm glad Lance showed he can still race hard with this stage. Speaking of "Hard" ... the three "Hard" men of this years tour are:

1. Robbie McEwen
2. Jens Voight
3. Thor Hushovd

To win the TdF you need lady luck on your side and Lance nor Andy seem to have it this year.

Also, there is no crying in Baseball!

My 2 cents.

Gil

Man, what a ride.... I really would have liked to see the old man win, but I am glad that nothing was given to him. (I am not sure he would have given it away if the table had been turned)

I just really enjoyed watching them ride today.

That alone will ensure you're going to be blacked out before the finish.
