Crashed out again. The guy can't seem to stay upright on his bike. Tough luck.

Is it a spoiler if everyone knew it before it happened?

Its just ground hog day over and over again for VdV.

Fail. It's not old news for those who perfer to watch it during the evening recap. Not everyone is willing to wake up at 5:30 in the morning to watch the race live.
In general, it's best not to put spoilers in the title thread for a current race.

For VdV, I guess the spoiler would be if someone reported that he finished the TdF

I feel bad for Christian. I have had the great fortune to get to know many pros over the last 30 years and Christian is one of the nicest, most down-to-earth ones.

Always cracks me up with the whole spoilers thing.

Coming to massive bike website and hoping NOT to find the results seems a little counterintuitive.

pro tip: Avoid a bike website if you dont want to know the days result.

mind you he was in good company today. fresh oil, wet roads and downhill are not a good combination. I was impressed he still finished the stage with two broken ribs.

For my money one of the Schlecks is due to crash out, they are wrecking every other day whether it's their fault or not. Horner will crash out too.

Do I need to make a Christian Vande Velde Injury Watch thread? Isn't this the 3rd Grand Tour he's crashed out of?

No need to get personal. Besides, they're right and you're wrong. Why do you come to this forum if you don't want to see what happened? Ridiculous.

Actually, no. Keeping spoliers off the main topic is a perfectly reasonable request and is good netiquette (even though I wouldnt log on to the pro section of BF if I wanted to avoid knowing the results, that doesnt change the fact that putting spoilers where they are visible to everyone is not a nice thing to do).

Edit: the folliowing is a general rant and not directed at TommyL or anyone particular:

How much effort does it take to show a little consideration and put the content in the post and not the title? Seriously, WTF is wrong with society that we want to spend hours getting into a pissing match about who's right and who's wrong, instead of just showing some ******** courtesy? So instead of just doing the right thing, we expect others to work around our ******baggery.

Un-********-believable.

Hmmm. I need to have my caffeine fix in the mornings before posting on BF. My point still stands.

No one needs to make the TDF all about them, they just want to.

Good thing vuvuzelas don't translate well over the interweb.

How would you title this thread without a spoiler?

"Vande Velde"? The fact that there's a thread about him implies that he crashed out.

C-, Consistently fails to meet expectations.

Very soon there will be no expectations for him to fail to meet.
