Best way to follow the tour on an iPhone?

Hi Guys,

Gotta attend a family reunion this weekend and will have no access to computers or TV from Thurs - Sun. I will have my iPhone along but most likely no 3G coverage as the location is rural.

Anyone know of the best site or iphone aps for following the tour live? I don't want to follow endless comment threads to figure out what is happening. Just a site or app that will let me follow the action.

Thanks!

The Velonews site has live coverage. Fairly decent blow by blow. I also have the Versus TdF App. I think it's $14.99. It will probably suffer without Wi-Fi or 3G coverage, but it might be worth a try even if all you get are updates. It rocks for watching when you do have Wi-Fi.

No 3G coverage, or no coverage period?

I have the 14.99VS ap on my phone and it works very well in the 3g and wi-fi...no clue how it will work off those networks.

I'll be in Belleville Pennsylvania (about 30 miles south of State College as the crow flies.

According to the AT&T Coverage maps I should get an OK cellular signal but there will be no 3G coverage anywhere close by. So I'll be stuck with whatever I can pull up using non-3G

Your best bet might be to try and find a wi-fi hot spot.
