As the guy himself acknowledges, he doesn't know much about cycling. To take the most obvious example, tracking the position of the yellow jersey in the GC is entirely uninformative since by definition, the yellow jersey is always the leader of the GC.

Chart themselves not much, but the point of the whole thing is to illustrate different ways of presenting data in chart form.
