Katusha Tour Team: All Russian

What do you all think? Is this a sporting move or a sponsor decision?

Mainly sponsor.

They haven't got that many non-Russians in the team + DiLuca I think didn't finish the TdS and Caruso finished way down.

There are three teams Ag2R, Europcar and Saur Sojasun with one non-French rider (Nicolas Roche Irl. of AG2R)between them and he's in fact half French.

Seems like a strange move though to hold on to your best stage racer, Joaquim Rodriguez (8th on GC last year), for the Vuelta. I can see why they left out Pozzato though, he's been a wet blanket all season.

Rodriguez just did the Giro so wouldn't have the same freshness. Also, he's better suited for a WIN in the Vuelta instead of a maybe top 10 or top 5 in the Tour de France.
