I don't think Garmin wants to let the jersey go yet and they have a strong enough team to bring back the breaks if they put their mind to it. I wouldn't mind seeing another Gilbert/Hushovd/Evans/Vino type of battle.

This looks like a pretty grueling stage; very long and quite hilly. Not sure any of the 'big names' have the nerve to try a breakaway only to risk getting caught in the end, and then being totally spent the next day. Could be a good day for one of the smaller teams that are not afraid to throw caution to the wind.

Five KoM points up for grabs, 140 miles, interesting finish profile. This'll be one for the breakaway, or strong men who love to attack. My favorite kind of race, for sure.

That has Vino/Gilbert written all over it, and with the way they're riding, maybe even Rojas/Hushovd.

Not a good day for Gesink. It's one problem after another for him.

Glad to see the peloton made it through the rain without too much trouble after yesterday's crashfest.

Too bad Vandenert didn't want to work with Tommy V. Great win for EBH, though. Glad to see he's not having problems with injuries.

Leipheimer lost 1 minute. I had a feeling that Horner would end up winning that 4-way battle, and it looks like it's going to turn out that way.

Leipheimer with a crash just outside the 3km mark loses just over a minute. That loss could derail his podium aspirations.

Horner will have to gain a few minutes on Kloden in the mountains before I'd put my Radioshack dollars on him, considering the ITT.

He will. He's going to regret saying that only Contador could drop him, but he'll still do better than Kloden.
