Same story also said that Jurgen Van den Broeck and Jelle Vanendert were moving to the "new" LOTTO team. That pretty much just leaves Griepel as the only serious race-winning asset that Quickstep gets from the merger.
Quickstep also recently announced signing brothers Martin and Peter Velits and also Stijn Vandenbergh. Since a team is limited to 30 riders, there are going to be a lot of racers and staff scurrying to find jobs elsewhere.
It should be interesting to see quickstep continue to develop Peter Velits into a GC contender, something that quickstep has never really had.
