UK tour winner attacks Podium Girl..

I think this disgusting.. Champagne should be consumed, certainly not used to embarrass Podium Girls.. Wasting champagne.. Maybe it was of British origin..
Who votes dunking podium girls is something a tour winner should do.. ? I vote no. Its not funny in the least..
.
.Tour of Britain winner Lars Boom sprays champagne on a podium girl.

Is there a story with this? Maybe it's 'their thing'.

Btw, have you ever seen an F1 podium or nfl/nba/mlb/nhl post championship locker room? How do you feel about christening ships? They've built a lot of ships ya know.

I've seen one stage podium event some years back.. It wasn't the last day of the pro tour however. I didn't see anything like this. Just jubilant cyclists trouncing one another with the bubbly.. Not the podium girls..
. For those of us whose rule is to treat me's womens right, this just seems offensive.

Ummm.... but having women whose sole purpose on the podium is to be eye candy is acceptable?

I wouldn't say 'sole purpose'. Often they have to help direct the tired and slightly dazed award winners to the proper podium step and stage exit.

Doochie.. My heart isn't racing nor will I loose sleep over the incident.. Maybe she enjoyed the hosing.. Just, Something I wound not do from someone who just kissed me on both cheeks. I sort of thought this just a fun post.. Not to be taken seriously but some do. Could be she preferred stale Spanish Cava or smelly Lars.

I would think it's one of the hazards of the job. They know there will be champagne being sprayed. Who knows, maybe they like it.
