Crazy. That's the sort of marketing that works on me.

Er...maybe you haven't seen a Pinarello lately. Or a Venge. Or a Shiv.

You know, right now the greatest GT rider (Contador), the greatest sprinter (Cav), and the greatest TT guy (Martin) are all on Specialized bikes.

And they have the most successful cobbles bike. Huh. All they need to do is get Gilbert on a Tarmac. Or maybe an Allez, given his apparent fondness for aluminum.

I wouldn't ride a Pinarello if they gave it to me for free either.

If you want to give me a free bike, I'll ride it. I don't want you to think I'm cheap or anything, but... hey, free bike!

The lion king pulled of the AL win in 2003 I believe.

I agree with bobbyc....it wouldn't be the first time a rider was on a bike badged something else......IF this isn't a huge publicity stunt.
The talk I heard was that he is going to race for a whole different team in order to stay on the S-W

Seems like a hoax. So instead of just giving in and using the Dogma 2 he's going out of his way to ride a POS Frankenstein bike that he says himself is "f'ed up?" This can't be real. If it is he needs to quit being a little ***** and ride what his sponsors are paying him a lot of money to ride. It's not like they can't get the geometry exactly how he wants it.

As much as I liked Sideways (I only saw it once, in the theater), that seven-word line outside the bar is the only one I can quote.
