Crashes

Seems like the pro peloton has picked up right where it left off: crashes city. Hopefully everyone will calm down and pay attention as the season progresses.

Has anyone been over to CyclingNews . The latest news is which teams are doing their pre-season training at various locations about the globe.. Johnny Hogerland is currently training in Spain with his team.. Take a look at the photos of his injuries from last years crash with a barbed wire fence.. those Crash injury photos, you'd think he'd be disabled for life.. Instead of training for the next season. His crash was a dozy .. With dedication like that, let's hope he makes it to the big time.

Today was a much better day for the peleton.

I think the wind played havoc on them yesterday....

A one man breakaway won the day today!

I also love it when an early break succeeds.. and solo for much of it? Kudos.

Wrecks are part of cycling competitively. There is a wreck almost every race in the amateur leagues, and we aren't doing it for money and fame (though most of our wrecks are due to stupidity on someones behalf). The Tour de France last year was pretty bad, but it wasn't excessively worst than years past. Just shows how bad people want results.
