RIP Marco
Eight years gone now. One of the most elegant climbers of all time. From the biographies, also one of the most tortured souls of all time. RIP Il Pirata.

Elegant??? I wouldn't say his style was elegant but that's just my opinion. Agree the guy should have been tortured big time in his heart, sad he is not w/us no more.

He had strange shorts/bibs. In the 2000 TDF videos, you can clearly see his butt crack through the lycra. Thin/nonexistent chamois? Not a pretty sight, but barring that, he was fun to watch.
RIP Elefantino.
