I think Cav, as long as he's not injured from the crash. I think Cav, Greipel, Goss and even Farrar can been Sagan on a straight flat finish.

Cav will have something to prove. The intermediate sprint point should be telling.

Cav wants his 22 wins to tie the all-time record. Heck maybe he'll even shoot for 23, no doubt he thinks he's getting Paris again.

I don't think he has anything to prove, but I agree the intermediate sprint was interesting. The fact that Cav bothered to take the points ahead of Goss and Sagan seems to imply that he hasn't given up on Green, despite being so far behind Sagan after yesterday's crash. Which may be a pretty good indication that he intends to go all the way to Paris, Olympics or no Olympics.

Good win for Greipel. 3rd place in the points competition and he hasn't contested the intermediate sprints.

Great win by Greipel. Goss was good to, but I'm REALLY happy to see Haedo get 3rd, beating Cavendish in the process

Farrar down again! He placed himself nicely only to get cut off and go down hard.
Seems to me Garmin has zero interest in supporting Farrar for a sprint win. He really looks on his own out there. I havn't seen Garmin at the front at all in these sprint stages. I'm thinking the only way Farrar can prove himself is to find a team willing to support him and give him some kind of leadout train.
Great finish though. I really thought the breakaway riders were going to hold on for the win. But then Greipel and company came on like a freight train and just blew past them. Great job by those breakaways though.

Sore saddle cyclist
Cav didn't sprint today, he was in the saddle right behind Greipel, I don't think he wanted to win the stage. Did you see the look on his face yesterday as he rode to the finish by himself??? His time with Sky was pretty much over at that moment, I hope he finds a better team for next season, he deserves better than what Sky is doing.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Wiggins. Next year won't suit him so much, so I would expect Cav to get more support. All will be forgiven if Cav wins the Olympics.

Or something like that. The camera was on him, then drifted back, then went back up to him and he yelled "Nooooo! F-ing Hell!" or something like that and rode forward. The riders immediately behind all had big grins on their faces.

I disagree. (1) He was probably feeling the effects of yesterday's crash. (2) He's not great in an uphill sprint even when he's 100%. (3) He's not the type of guy who fights for 3rd place when he knows he can't win. If he knows the sprint is over, he tends to sit up.
