Tyler Hamilton to lose 2004 Olympic Gold

I guess no cycling result is ever final.

And I'm sure Eki has a clear conscience from his career. Ha...

According to Eki's Wikipedia page, Hamilton already gave that medal back in May 2011, around the time he did the "60 Minutes" interview.

The full story says quite the opposite. This is happening now because the 8 year limit is almost up,.

Whatever you might think about Tyler Hamilton, I find myself kinda having some respect for him on that gesture of giving the medal back to the USOC. I thought that was a classy move.

Always trust what you read in the media. The only more reliable source are posts on BF ...

He gave it back ... they might be taking the action now as if they don't it would be a vacated gold - so act now and give it to Eki just in time for the statute to retire (and thus he'll never have to give it back or have it taken away).

Very good point. Having a vacated medal is not good. Giving it to Eki just before time runs out gives a near zero chance of him getting busted.

The medal was stolen by Hamilton's twin and now they want it back!!!
