Is this the revolution?
McQuaids nomination by the Irish Cycling Federation for UCI presidency (again..) has been reversed at an extraordinary AGM. I'm guessing there are a few more twists in the tale yet but this is a pretty significant development to me. Does anyone know more?

I think the important part is whether the UCI with it's inherent conflicts of interests should continue to be in charge of anti-doping functions. The people who organize the TDF have already expressed the desire to see those functions allocated to the French Anti Doping Agency but I haven't heard whether they're going to press to issue or not this year.
