I like listening to Sean Kelly, but prefer Magnus Bagstedt for insider stuff and clearer english.

Showing LBL at 2:00 am certainly doesn't help. I don't watch TV enough to make it worth investing in DVR or a similar system. I got up to watch the race, fell asleep again half way through, and woke up to catch the last 5 seconds or so of the broadcast as they showed the victory salute.
The rider in my avatar is David Etxebarria, not me.

After reading the article I must agree with the authors opinion and his experience that formed this opinion. Having watched the Hawaii Ironman live once, however not all the way through, I never watched it again in that format. I do watch the taped versions as they are far more interesting and, being condensed make viewing much more focused and enjoyable.

The same needs to be done with cycling's long stage races and even one day classics. Content is the key to interest the average Joe and keep the enthusiast tuning in to watch.
