I was thinking borderline. I'd have had no gripes with it going either way.

I think a foot more and he should have been relagated.

He won by an inch. If he'd held his line I think he'd have lost. So I'd probably have relegated him.

So close. If Demarre hadn't taken his left hand off the bars to spank Sagan, he'd have won it. Would Sagan have taken him into the barriers if he hadn't? Dunno.

eeeehhhh...i guess it is borderline - in the end, i am glad he didn't get relegated, cause i think sprints are by nature a rough game for animals, and i think race officials should let racers race...on the other hand, i probably would've relegated him because sagan benefitted last year by goss being relegated for shifting lanes on sagan on a TDF stage...both borderline, but if you are going to complain about someone not holding his line, you can't complain when you don't...

Yeah, I'm not seeing a problem. It didn't look like Sagan was trying to drive Demare into the barriers. Worth a review, not worth disputing the ruling.

I didn't see anything erratic about it. He drifted towards the barriers 'cause he was hammering with his head down...nothing intentional.

It looked clean to me. It also looked like Sagan thought he had been beaten as he seemed to give a congratulatory pat on the back to Demarre after they crossed the line. Sagan also did the best job of following wheels as it came down to the end.

Looks like Sagan drifted about 6 inches to the right of the perfect line, but Demarre had about two extra feet to the barrier, so doesn't seem worthy of relegation.
