Exactly, podium girls are there because they are attractive women. Nothing wrong with that. They are not there to be pawed by a rider who thinks he is too cool.

Sagan has issues, as someone has previously pointed out, he inked his name on a woman's breast when she approached himfor his autograph. He is a good, young rider--I will give him that. But I can't wait for the day when he gets his comeuppance.

Better a eunuch that a low life dirt bag.

I disagree. English is not my first language. A dirty joke in English, however, is still a dirty joke. Non-English speakers may not get the full meaning of the joke, but as long as they are fluent in English they will understand its full meaning.

This is especially true when you consider the fact that English is a nearly universal language. I have friends who are Europeans, I am certain that they all get it (the "message" on Sagan's tee shirt).

The message on his tee shirt is pretty clear.

And to think the idiot walks around in that t-shirt.

It is at the very least, immature, and at most, a sign of serious depravity or sociopathic behaviour. In a civil society, a guy who walks around in such a d****e-baggy t-shirt should be kept away from polite company.

Just imagine running into that idiot, wearing that t-shirt, while you're in the company of your daughters, wife, sisters, mother............

I didn't say that it wasn't. It's a matter of degree of appropriateness.

I've lived in Europe and have developed some fluency in languages. I know how widespread English is. Dirty English jokes are more acceptable there than here.
Imagine North American teenagers singing, "Would you like to sleep with me tonight," repeatedly? Not quite the same, is it?

I couldn't help but laugh intinctively just from the looks on his and Cancellera's unknowing face. And I'm thinking the brunette was doing the same. It's a little boorish though and if the blonde had slapped him it certainly would have upstaged that little joke.

Honestly, are we all a bunch of constipated blue-hairs?

He is 23 y/o, young, lot of growing up to do, and doing it in the glare of top-level pro cycling. Thank goodness the stupid things I did at that age weren't endlessly dissected by a bunch of armchair moralists.

Like lots of 23 year olds, he'll make mistakes. He's smart enough to only make each mistake once.

In the 99.9% of the time that he is not making mistakes, he's an exciting rider. He has power, can climb, can sprint, needs to develop some TT, needs to learn tactics. I'm enjoying watching his journey.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't recall any other cyclists in their early 20s groping the podium girls like this.

Granted it's not the most horrible thing ever, but there's no excuse for it. He's crass, he's an adult, and he simply needs to tone it down a notch.

You know, I have a come back for that eunuch remark, but the mods may not be too keen on it, so I will just leave it at that.

One measure of a man's character is not in the facile, little gotchas that he spews; rather, a measure of a man's character is found in those moments when he chooses to let the mental eunuch go free.

You are free to go.

Okay.

What about a girl asking him for an autograph on a piece of paper after a race, and Sagan proceeding to sign on her cleavage? Was that photoshopped too?

He's a helluva talent. I hope he doesn't get crippled in some stupid street fight over something juvenile.
