We have to be patient, guys. Lots can change in the next couple weeks, plus the final standings bonuses are nice. (I say this coming from like tenth place.)

Wacky week. Usually at about this point I'm heavily involved in regretting some of the tough choices I made as I finalized my team (Chock Full o' Nuts) and have at least one major coulda woulda shoulda didn't anxiety. As open as this thing has been, and with more to come, I'm refreshingly free from such revisionism at this point. Of course I'm not thrilled about a few guys on my roster not racking up noticeable points, but the race is still young.
It's interesting to see the breakout of the different categories of points. In particular, the assists really add up.
Who'd a thunk Cadel would be such a monster scorer in the first week? I can't even regret that one as I just dismissed him. Chapeau.

I was just about to say "stick a fork in me, I'm done" when signs of life from Lars Bak give me a glimmer of hope. Ha ha. Just a glimmer.

Wiggins dropping is certainly going to help me move out of last place, but I can't believe I switched Cav for Hesjedal at the last minute. Doh!

Strong showing by the Duder.
I feel like I'm pedaling Cadel's bike for the last 2k of Tre Cime, watching all you folks pass me by here at the end.
See you in France.

Here's what looks like it would have been the best team, 11003 points at a cost of 98.

I did pick some of those work horses and flirted with a few others as I diddled with getting the cost under 100, but in the end I only managed to corral about 1/2 of the total score. Top 2000, whoo hoo!!
I see an odd little symmetry as my old worthy competitors Creatre, DXchulo, and I came in 24-16-8 in the BF Paceline. Some sort of Dan Brown thing going in in Italy, I assume.

Just getting around to checking my results. I stopped following my results after the first week since it was clear my team was fail this grand tour. Ouch...16/27. Not my Giro....hopefully I'll rebound for the TdF!
