Giro stages 14/15

Snow in the Alps. They've had to re-route today and take out the climb of the Sestriere. And both big climbs have been cut out of tomorrow's route, including the Galibier. Great pity, these were some of the more spectacular stages of the race and offered big opportunities to attack the leaders.

Yup. And no video feed today, so there goes an otherwise interesting race.

At least we'll get to see the last 500m! Too bad the weather has played such a big role this year.

And as they emerge from the mist, Nibali has put still more time into the other GC contenders. Still a long way to go, of course, but he looks very diffciult to beat.

Another good effort from Evans, the old guy must have worked hard over the winter.

Evans looks like he's riding for a podium position and preserving himself for the TdF.

He declares he'll be "going out swinging".

Indeed he was 19 seconds down in stage 17 and 14 seconds in stage 16.
