Sagan is a great entertainer and has a great career ahead. Who cares if the wheelie has been done in the past? Sagan has panache. Sagan has charisma. The sport needs more personalities.
On the topic of Sky feeding late...Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen both made a sting about it during the live transmission. You would figure if anyone, then those guys would know exactly what is going on and what the rules are. Instead I keep hearing them butcher names, make mistakes and now criticize Sky for something that is apparently legal. I dont think these guys are prepared to handle the Tour commentary and get by on their reputation alone. Kind of like Pat Summerall and John Madden towards the end. Maybe its time for a commentary change. This year's commentary has been exceptionally bad. Makes me wonder if all they do is roll in the morning out of bed, watch along with us for 5 hours and then drink French wine all afternoon talking cricket or some other British pastime.

yeah, it drives me nuts how often they (Phil especially) screw stuff up. But they do make even the most mundane stages seem exciting somehow.

How can anyone say that this is a boring tour?
Flat stages are normally mindnumbingly boring, yet this year there have been two exciting ones: Cannondales massive pull to drop Cav and Greipel, and then the echelon riding that was simply brilliant, and lost Froome in the mix. The second day in the Pyrennes, with the Dan Martin break away, was nothing if not exciting television. The white jersey contest has been more contested this year than in any year I can remember.
2012 was dull as watching pudding set up. A tour based around TT's to go easy before the Olympics.
2011 had one exciting day, when Andy Schleck broke away with two teammates up the road, only to be reeled in by Cadel single handedly. Voeckler did nothing to help that day, and was, IMO, an awful yellow jersey wearer.
2010 also had one exciting day, with Schleck dropping his chain.
Professional bike racing is, by its nature, a dull spectator sport, unless you understand and enjoy the strategy that goes into it, and follow all of the other jersey competitions. I have found this year's tour to be far more interesting than the past three.

Sagan is a fun guy to watch, and a great handler. Sure his technique to park his bike on the roof rack is over the top, but certainly entertaining.

Without Sagan, Contador and Quintana, it would be another Tour de Snore. The ASO should give them cash bonuses and penalize all the others 5 minutes for being boring.

I pretty much agree but the sprint stages, the bus, Kittel, pee throwing and feedbag-gate have added some entertainment.

IS anyone going to start the narrative that they "Don't respect the sport" with antics like this? "They are a touble maker who doesn't do things the right way" 
The supply bags turned out being legal? Wow, there's a facepalm every day with these guys........but still not as bad as Joe Buck and Tim McCarver covering baseball.
