Bravo Maillot Jaune, 2013!

I've waited long enough for someone to post something positive about this fantastic edition of the Tour and it's worthy winner............. and we've had plenty of negative threads to wade through.

An unusually structured and very mountainous Tour has produced a five minute winner, with multiple stage successes, on mountain tops and against the watch. The Sky team was depleted from the first week but Chris Froome proved smart and aggressive enough to defend his position, through a third week, when he was feeling the effects of wearing the jersey for so long. Some of the other teams had strength on paper but lacked the unity of purpose of Froome's squad.

An excellent, competitive event, won, as usual, by the best all-rounder. Quintana is a fine young talent for the future..... but needs to find five minutes, from somewhere,- which most pure Grimpeurs struggle to do. Froome will start favourite next year, it seems.

Agreed.

This was a very good Tour thanks to Froome going out there and racing every stage. He could have played it safe, but he didn't. He's a classy competitor and worthy of the Maillot Jaune!

It was a great tour to watch, even today's stage was fun. The awards were fun to watch, the planes trailing france-colored smoke was cool, Peter Sagan's antics and his green facial hair, Chris Froome's great speach at the end and him just dominating when he needed to, Quintana killing it up the mountains (boy that dude is small), Kittel stealing Cav's thunder, and an awesome fight for the top 10. Really, it was a fun tour to watch.

Great tour! It showed the climber's baton passing from Contador to Quintana.

I believe the proper term is not "bravo," it's "Chapeau"
