I wont pay $30 for TDF streaming next year.

Last year the streaming experience seemed a lot better. This year, trying to watch live, or just after was hit and miss. Things like this should improve, not degrade over time.

I had a lot of problems; I thought it was my old mac interacting with Silverlight but I have heard that many have had issues.

Free. Eurosport. Get to listen to Sean Kelly suck air through his teeth forty times a stage.

You should watch all the races through here. My cable television provider requires me to pay for a package that's $52 a month more than my current one to get NBC Sports. Forget that noise. Support our Arabic friends delivering us these pirated feeds.

I had issues last year and this year. I almost didn't get the streaming package this year, but I broke down and got it.

Video quality was lousy. On a few occasions the stream just stopped.

If Netflix and Amazon can give me HD reliably, I expect something decent from NBC. Fail.

Same here, my experience has not been stellar.

I gave up my satellite dish, so NBC was the only avenue for me. I was fine with it - I suppose I'm easily entertained.

If you can wait a few days after the race to watch you can download HD and standard versions of the stages over the internet from cyclingtorrents.com. It can take a while to get them but it can be very rewarding. I've just watched stage 19 at 720p with no commercial interuptions for almost 4 hours on my large screen TV.

Bingo. My home theater system (and all my other computers for that matter), are on Linux, which handles Flash just fine but can't do Silverlight at all. Back when the Tour was on Versus, I was happy to pay for the streaming Flash video. NBC is in corporate bed with Microsoft, so when they bought the rights, they switched to Silverlight. At that point, I just started watching pirated Eurosport feeds.

Don't even get me started on how NBC used to have an entire HDTV subchannel on broadcast TV in my city devoted to sports coverage, then moved all that to cable and replaced it on broadcast with reruns of McHale's Navy and The Monkees. TV is a wasteland, for no good reason.
