Which Pro Cycling Trophy would be your First Pick.

A poll.... Which major Pro trophy is the most awesome. ....
. Ok. You're good. A real Pro of Merckx fame. You can't win all the Trophies of the big tours. Can you. ? Do Not judge in terms of prestige of the course, but pure physical aesthetics of the Trophy . Which object would you want to be displayed atop your mantle.. ? Frances, Italy's, Spain's , California's. Etc..

The Weird and Wonderful World of Cycling Trophies
Date: October 13, 2012
.

Whilst many other sports award medals, cycling is notable for its presentation of Jerseys, which differentiate the race leader from the pack (although the Tour de France actually used an armband to begin with) and allow a rider to build up a wardrobe of their wins to be displayed. However, the races also present trophies, but these are oft so overshadowed by the jersey, that no one ever really bothers with them. Even pro riders admit to not showing off their trophies, aside from one or two of the more special ones. So here’s a collection of the trophies you get for winning the biggest bicycle races in the world for you to enjoy. Oh, and if you want a challenge, try and figure out who the winner of the trophy pictured is. There’s no prize but pride…

Difficult choices. Style wise, Italy's is most definitely the coolest. Of all the choice's , winning Roubaix's would be cause for the most bragging. Anyone get a look at what looks like a huge salami. ? That one must be Poland's. ?

If you are of Eddy Merckx quality you CAN win them all.

He just did not care enough about the KOM in the Vuelta to ride it a second time.

And of course for prestige the trophy to get is the Pernod Super Prestige trophy.

Decades ago a friend got married. She had been a pro tennis player and the reception was at Tracy Austin's Parents home. There was a trophy room the size of a small bedroom. The most impressive trophies were far from the biggest and in a sense they were all the same.

Paris-Roubaix is different and classy. It is the best as a trophy.

given the abundance of geometrical shapes of a bike, it is surprising that no one is inspired enough to come up with a nice clean/ modern design.
