Greg Van Avermaet?

The guy sure seems to bust ass all the time, and I salute him for that. But he has become the Buffalo Bills of the Classics season.

Shame. I thought he had it. It looked like he had a tad too much sprint confidence and popped a meter to late....

Not exactly the most sound tactics in the final kilometer, but I respect him when took his pull.

I think half the problem is just being on BMC. They have more talent than any team out there but no focus or direction. Like a rock & roll supergroup, they never sound as good as any of the bands the stars came from. They need to find some Hincapie & Voigt types who are dedicated to the team results. Frank was the closest they had to that but he's moved on.

Yeah, but he shouldn't have taken the pull. He did so without the strength to drop Stannard. Stannard didn't even need to pedal full time to stay on his wheel, and so when Stannard made his move, van Avermaet didn't have enough in the tank.
